IRC conducted an annual evaluation of a community-based programme working to improve maternal and child nutrition in rural Bangladesh. The evaluation assessed progress against the programme’s results framework in several areas: women and adolescent empowerment, maternal and child health and nutrition, nutrition governance, food security, water, sanitation and hygiene, access to information, and the programme’s pandemic response. IRC used a mixed-method design. It combined a household survey of pregnant and lactating women and adolescents with focus group discussions, key informant and in-depth interviews, and a document review. The evidence guided planning for the programme’s next phase.
