IRC conducted the community-level survey for an evaluation of a shared communication and accountability service within the Rohingya refugee response. The evaluation looked at three things: whether refugees and host communities could get the information they needed, whether they knew about and used feedback and complaint channels, and how well humanitarian agencies heard and acted on their concerns. IRC carried out a large-scale quantitative survey with both Rohingya and host community members, working closely with the evaluation’s research leads. Together with practitioner interviews and monitoring data, this evidence helped make humanitarian communication more inclusive and accountable.
